Mabel June Shryer, 100 years and 10 months of Richmond, Missouri died at 8:30 PM, Monday, April 20, 2026 at John Know Village East, Higginsville, Missouri.

Mrs. Shryer was born June 3, 1925, near Weaubleau, Missouri to Fred W. and Mary E. (Chaney) Deafenbaugh. She married William Gentry Shryer of Collins on June 3, 1942.

She was employed for many years as a Bank Teller at First National Bank, Carrollton, Missouri, and US Bank, Richmond, Missouri. She fondly enjoyed conversations with her banking friends. Mabel June was actively involved in the United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and Republican politics.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary A.  and Suzanne Shryer of Blue Springs, Missouri; two grandchildren, Tyler and his wife, Michelle Shryer of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Megan Martin and her husband Joe of Yorba Linda, California; four great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter, Dylan Gentry, Ethan James Shryer, Cole Phillip, Owen Anthony, and Kathryn Ann Martin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred W. and Mary E. (Chaney) Deafenbaugh; husband, WM G. Shryer; two sisters, Mildred Kauffman, and Tressie Moore.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond United Methodist Church.
