Boyle, Janet Lee January 5, 1939 - January 12, 2024

Janet Lee Boyle, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park with her son and daughter by her side.

Jan was born January 5, 1939, in Independence, MO., to Leo and Jessie Lane.

For several years, Jan was a CNA and Med Tech and she also worked with adults with special needs. She was wonderful at helping others in a positive and caring manner. Jan owned and managed Boyle Country Retirement in Osceola for ten plus years.

She was a member of Osceola Community Church. Jan also enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and chatting with her family and friends. She loved the simple pleasures in life.

Jan is survived by her son Joseph (Wendy) Mangum, her daughter Julie Witt, a daughter-in-law Marrion Mangum, stepchildren: Donnie Boyle, Terry Boyle, and JoDonna, 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brother Leo Lane and sister Sue (Bill) Kelly as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph E. Mangum, Dale Page, Don Boyle, son Greg Mangum., as well as son–in-law Perry Witt.

Jan will be remembered for her beautiful laugh and sense of humor as well as her deep devotion to God and her faith in Jesus Christ.
