Nicholas Joe Alan Brown, 40, of Osceola, MO, went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 7, 2024. Nick was born on October 1, 1984, to Dennis and Sheila Brown (Bly) in Raytown, MO.

Nick’s favorite hometown was Osceola, MO, even though he spent some years in Raytown and the Kansas City area. Most of his high school years were spent in Osceola High School, but he attended and graduated from Raytown High School in 2003. During his elementary school years, Nick was in Boy Scouts from a tiger cub to age 12, and AKKA Karate from ages 6 to 12, earning his white belt as well as his first of 3 brown belts. While in Osceola, he participated in FFA, played football, and rode bulls. He played baseball on the local Osceola team and tried out and made a triple A team as a pitcher in Raytown.

After graduating high school, Nick joined the U.S. Army. He began serving in 2003 graduating at Fort Benning, GA, and was stationed at Fort Hood, TX. Nick was injured during training and received an honorable discharge. From there, he went to work for Westhues Electric, got his journeyman’s license, and began working on his master electrician license. Nick was a member of Connection Point Church in Raytown, MO. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized. He enjoyed attending Bible studies several times a week. He volunteered at several churches doing such things as helping with Thanksgiving dinner and giving out turkeys. Nick loved his family. He enjoyed holiday gatherings, taking the family kiddos fishing, and playing with them.

Nick was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Brown; uncles, Everett Alan Bly and Kenny Brown; aunt, Barbara Cates; grandparents, Everett and Vivian Bly and Jean and Dean Brown; niece, Josie Motley, as well as other cousins.

Nick is survived by his son, Blake Joe Alan Brown; daughter, Josephine Lynn Waller; mother, Sheila Brown; bonus mom, Joyce Brown; grandparents, Patsy and Levi Barnes; uncle, Allen and aunt, Tammie Brown; aunt Debbie and uncle Duke Kottwitz; four sisters, Angela Crawford – husband Will, Laurie Motley, Kendra Butler – husband Howie, Jessica Motley; brother, Levi Motley – wife Aubri; nieces and nephews Mariah (Brandon) Quinney, Madison Bedell, Dillon (Paige) Bedell, Samantha Butler, Piper Motley, Kiah Stinnett, Isaiah Motley, Zechariah Motley, Westley Butler, Dusty Motley, Owen Butler; great nieces and nephews Dominic Bedell, Grayson Bedell, Rosalie Bedell, and Adriana Bedell.
