Russell Duane Bryson was born on November 14, 1948, in Kansas City, MO to Daisy and Jasper
Bryson.
Russell graduated from North High School in Phoenix Arizona in 1966 where he lived with his
mother and stepfather Walter Sherman Grimes. Shortly after graduating, he joined the US Army.
Russell was a decorated combat infantrymen based in Chu Lai.
Upon returning stateside, Russell met Sheila Kaye Kirmse. They married just a short 2 weeks
after their blind date. Russell and Sheila were stationed in Colorado. After that time, they moved
to Arizona where their daughter Meika Bryson was born. Russell and Sheila then moved back to
Missouri where their son Joseph Bryson was born but returned to Arizona shortly after.
They moved to their final home in Lowry City, Missouri in 2005.
Russell was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather, as well as 6 siblings.
He is survived by 2 children, 1 brother-in-law, 2 sister-in-laws, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-
grandson as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
