Ronnie Lee Burrow was born April 9, 1944, in Roscoe, Missouri to Charles “Penny” and Betty (Gragg) Burrow. He passed away June 8, 2025, in Bolivar, Missouri.
At the age of 18 months old Ronnie contacted polio and spent many months in Children’s Hospital Kansas City, Missouri. He never let his polio stop him from doing whatever he wanted.
Ronnie was very active in school at Roscoe, and enjoyed his high school years at Osceola, especially playing basketball and baseball. He was active in FFA and was involved in the music department. Ronnie was one of the 3 kings in the Christmas Pageant for 3 years.
After Ronnie graduated high school, he went to work at the St. Clair County Courier Newspaper, and later the Clinton Democrat. He also worked on the turkey farm where his family lived near Roscoe, Missouri, for ID Russell labs helping his folks take care of the turkeys and putting up hay for all the neighbors.
In 1964 Ronnie met Johnna Lou Hornbeck and they were married on February 13, 1966. To this union two sons were born: Mike and Steven. Ronnie and Johnna made their home in Humansville, Missouri where they helped run the dairy farm and drove the milk truck for his father-in-law until he opened his own print shop. Ronnie owned and operated his own business for many years, and in 2005 his family moved to Bolivar, Missouri.
Ronnie accepted Christ at an early age and is a member at the First Baptist Church in Humansville, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife Johnna, sons: Mike (Belinda) Burrow, and Steven Burrow, 3 grandchildren: Brett (Paige) Burrow, Mindy (John) Gardner, and Tiffany (Glen) Jeffery, 6 great grandchildren: Landon and Leighton Burrow, Jace, Brooklyn, and MacKinlee Gardner, and Avery Jeffery, he also leaves behind his brother Bobby Burrow, and sister Judy Byrne, their families as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Penny and Betty, his sister Peggy, as well as many friends and other family members.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to CMHCF employee fund in care of the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home.
