Martha “Marty” Clara Carroll (Beck) was born August 31, 1934 to Myrtle and John Beck in Cross Timbers, Missouri.
She met and married Loyd Gene Carroll on June 18, 1964.
She had a long career in the medical field as an Operating Room Technician. She started her career at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She took time off to raise her two children and returned to work at Osceola Hospital.
After retirement, her life was filled with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, singing, arts and crafts, and she loved going shopping.
In her own words: “My favorite things in life are; God, family and friends, music, strawberry ice cream, and onion rings. Exactly in that order.”
Our sweet mama died at home in her sleep on October 29, 2025.
She is survived by her son, Loyd Gene Carroll Jr. and his wife Lavonda of Osceola, Missouri; daughter Lori Jean Carroll of Osceola, Missouri; three step children, David and Debbie Carrol, Richard Carroll and Vicky Lynsey; brother Hervey Beck and wife Jean of Warsaw, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, her parents, four siblings, Josephene Breshears, Charles Beck, Burta June Stuhl and Mabel Jackson.
