Estel Martin Clemens was born June 27, 1923 in Stet, MO, the second of eight children born to Claud and Mary Clemens. He passed away October 28, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO at the age of 87.
He helped his father on the farm. Estel served in the Navy during WWII. After his honorable discharge, he returned home and worked as a heavy equipment operator and a mechanic for a plastic company.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth in 1989; his father, mother, two sisters, Faye and Ethel and one brother, Edward.
Estel is survived by his loving wife, Betty, his daughter, Linda Arnone and husband, Jim, his son, J.R. and wife, Tanya, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; three stepchildren, Ernie and wife Velda, Sandy and husband, Dwight and Dale and wife, Donna as well as seven step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren; two sisters, Willa and Lorene and husband, James, two brothers, Norman and Ernie, other relatives and many friends.
Estel loved his family and friends and was known for his beautiful woodworking projects and also for his wonderful vegetable soup and corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s day every year and also for the loving ways he had for his family and friends as they had many family dinners which he helped to prepare as he enjoyed cooking along with his wife.
