On Thursday December 28th, Vernon “Leroy” Conard went home to the lord to be with his wife, Peggy.
Leroy was born on July 2nd, 1936, to Vernon and Hazel Conard in Reed Springs, MO. He graduated from Sarcoxie high school in 1954. On August 29, 1954, Leroy married is high school sweetheart, Peggy. They then had their three children, Tom, Tim, and Teresa.
After high school, he join the United States Air Force where he served five years. Upon graduation he became part of the Missouri State Highway patrol. He was soon transferred to Osceola Missouri, where he raised his family and the remainder years. He retired After 31 years of service with the highway patrol. He then served a term as the Saint Clair county sheriff.
Leroy, loved to hunt, fish, and camp, but he especially loves spending time with his family. So whether it be having a party or sitting around the fire , he was all for it.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Peggy, his parents Vernon and Hazel Conard. His brother Chester Conard and sister. His three grandchildren Kelsey Conard, TC(Thomas)Conard, and Sarah Ketner.
He survived by his children, Teresa Ketner, Thomas Conard, Tim Conard. His great grandchildren, Carly Conard, Carlos Conard, Lana Renfro, Maria Ketner, Tristan Ketner, his great granddaughter, Evelyn deans, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many more people who loved him.
