It breaks our hearts to announce the sudden passing of Danny Lee Romans of Clinton, MO
on December 2, 2025 at Boone Health in Columbia, MO. Dan was born June 14, 1968 to
Mary (Harper) Romans and Jesse Romans in Independence, KS. He lived in Longton, KS as
a small child before moving to Osceola, MO in 6th grade. He graduated from Osceola High
School in 1986. He loved reminiscing about all the adventures he had growing up on
Truman Lake with his brother and all their friends. Dan remained in the Osceola/Roscoe
area while raising his children Bryce and Taylor. His passion for fishing led to his career
around boats. He worked for many years for Tracker and Truman Lake Fiberglass. He later
moved to Warsaw, MO where he worked for Pro’s Choice Marine doing fiberglass repair.
Dan was a superb craftsman and took great pride in his work. People would come from all
over the country to have him repair their boats. On April 22, 2017, he married his wife Amy
and became dad to her daughter Kyleigh. Dan was so proud of all of his kids and their
accomplishments. Family was the absolute most important thing to him. He looked
forward to every June when all of his kids, mom, and brother would come and spend his
birthday and Father’s Day with him. Hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas for both families
were always one of his favorite things. Dan loved to play Pitch or Razzle-dazzle at any
family gathering and taught both of his kids how to play when they were very young.
Through his life he enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting arrowheads, horses, and looking for
mushrooms when in season. All that knew Dan know he would give anyone the shirt off his
back to help them. Even in death he continued this by donating to the Missouri Transplant
Network where his donation has already helped several people regain sight. One of his
favorite things to do was go around the neighborhood giving fish to the neighbors, and also
taking to other friends and family.
Dan was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents Freda and Hugh Harper; Paternal
grandparents Art and Betty Romans; and his (step) dad Bill Osburn. Dan is survived by his
loving wife Amy of Clinton; his mother Mary Osburn (David Taylor) of Bolivar, MO; Children-
Bryce (Rachel) Romans of Lynnwood, WA and Taylor Romans of Springfield, MO; Kyleigh
(Malacki) Ehlers of Overland Park, KS; Brother-Jack Romans (Gail Dempsey) of Greensboro,
NC; his father Jesse Romans of West Plains, MO; and the two lights of his life,
granddaughters Addie and Sage Romans of Lynnwood, WA.
There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to: C.A.S.T for Kids foundation in Honor of Dan’s
belief that everyone should get a chance to fish.
