Dennis Clyde Davis, 69, passed away on April 24, 2025, surrounded by the family he cherished and who cherished him in return. Born on July 23, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, Dennis spent his childhood in Olathe, Kansas, and Belton, Missouri, where he created countless fond memories and began shaping the kind and generous heart that would define him throughout his life.

Later in life, Dennis married Glenda, sharing many happy years together.

Dennis was a kind and selfless man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Despite spending many years in poor health, his remarkable resilience and unwavering kindness inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in woodworking, building things, and creating beauty and purpose from his hands.

Family meant everything to Dennis. He adored spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, whether it was making memories at home or sharing his love of cars at shows during their younger years. Together, they proudly displayed a ’46 Ford pickup—a pastime that brought him immense joy.

Dennis began his career with the State Highway Department and later became a Foreman for the Belton Street Department, where his dedication and leadership left a lasting impact. In his later years, he also worked at Truman Lake Manor as an RNA, continuing his legacy of service and care for others.

Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Donna Davis. He is survived by his wife Glenda Davis of Osceola, father Hubert Davis, of Olathe, Kansas; his sisters, Diane (and husband Jeff Trude) of Belton, Missouri, and Darlene (and husband Scott Babcock) of Olathe, Kansas; his son, Brian Davis of Weaubleau, Missouri; his daughter, Carly (and husband Garry Nichols) of Weaubleau, Missouri; Crystal Books (Ray) of Bolivar, Missouri, Floyd Weaver (Vanessa) of Osceola, Missouri, and Jenny Weaver (Rodney) of Hermitage, Missouri. Dennis was also a proud grandfather to Dusty and Colton Nichols, Savannah, Jacob, and Skyler Books, Sophia and Gabe Weaver and Steven Robertson, and a great-grandfather to Laynie Nichols. His family will forever cherish the memories and moments shared with him.

Dennis touched countless lives with his warmth, compassion, and love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
