Debi Bourland was born March 16, 1953, in Independent, Missouri, to John and Nemi Waitley. She passed away at Elliott Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri on March 22, 2025.She was loved by most everyone she got to know and had many friends throughout the years. She met Bryan in March of 1980, and were married on February 28, 1981 at Bryans parents house where he grew up. His parents Arthur and Edra Bourland loved her like a daughter as she thought of them as her mother and father as well.Debi loved flowers and had a green thumb. She had flower gardens all over her yard at home which she was very proud of. She wasn’t afraid to bring home strays, especially cats, knowing Bryan would not always be pleased.She worked at Rival Manufacturing for around 20 years where she and Bryan met and began their life together. Debi then worked as the manager at Primetime Convenience Store for a few years before working at Walmart. She worked at Walmart in Lawn and Garden working with plants in the summer which she loved for over 8 years. She retired at age 62 and that point on struggled with COPD. She then got breast cancer in July of 2023, but was in remission when her COPD sent her to the hospital multiple times where it finally sent her home to the Lord.Debi and Bryan got saved in August 2020, and it was their beginning to a new life with God. She is now waiting with Jesus for Bryan to join her soon. There will always be an empty spot in Bryans heart were her love used to be.She is survived by her husband Bryan of the home, two sons: Tracy Waitley of Lowry City, MO, and Damien Bourland (Marilyn) of Deepwater, MO, one daughter: Misty Bourland of Lowry City, MO, grandchildren: Emily, Alex, Camry, Daulton (Taylor), Kim (Jeramy), Andrew, Kelsey, Emmakohl, Artorias,8 great-grandchildren: Zayne, Myles, Niylah, Stella, Kadence, Hannah, Avery, Anya, and many friends.Debi was preceded in death by her son Griff Golden, parents John and Neomi Waitley, father and mother-in-law Arthur and Edra Bourland, her brother Loyal Waitley, and sister Zelma Shepard.
