Billy Carl Edmunds was born on February 5, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the third of four children born to Doc Edmunds and Gladys Morris Edmunds. He passed away on December 6, 2010 at the Truman Lake Nursing Home in Lowry City, Missouri.
At the age of 16 he joined the United States Army. He spent 3 years in Korea serving as a medical aid man.
In the early ages of his life, Billy worked for Missouri Pacific as a local truck driver in Kansas City. After several years of misspent youth, at age 32 Billy met and married his 20 year old soul mate Shirly Perry. To this union 4 beautiful babies were born, Brady, Loire, John and Melody.
After suffering a major back injury, which disabled him Billy and Shirley moved to Lowry City to raise their family.
He loved to have his kids around and always had a story to tell about his younger days in the Army or as a trucker. Billy always had a song for his grand babies when they would crawl up in his lap.
Billy enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales and spending time on his computer.
He is preceded in death by on son, Brady Carl Edmunds; one brother Louis Edmunds and one grandson Tanner Edmunds
Billy is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; two sons, Lance and John; two daughters, Melody and Kelly; two sisters, Dorothy and Marcella; 11 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
