Freddie Leroy Todd Sr. “Preacher”, age 81, passed away on January 28, 2026. He was born on September 2, 1944, to Dewey and Stella Todd.
Fred was married to Shirley Ann Todd for 43 years before her passing in 2010. For the past 10 years, he shared his life with his loving and devoted wife, Sharon Todd, who remained by his side.
Fred’s life was one marked by hardship, growth, and faith. In his later years, he worked to become a better man and father, making choices that reflected a desire to honor God and help expand His Kingdom. Like all of us, he was imperfect, but he was also bold, unique, and loyal.
In his adult years, Fred enjoyed spending time fishing with his brothers and sons. Later in life, he devoted much of his time to preaching and sharing his faith. Fred traveled from church to church to share God’s Word, though he never needed to travel far, he shared the gospel with anyone who was willing to listen.
In his final years, Fred spent most of his time with Sharon, selling storage unit items and watching reruns of Gunsmoke. He was a man who rarely missed a day of work, continuing to work even into his eighties.
Fred was the father of: Penny Rushing, Tammy Hopkins, Sheryl Robinett, Cheryl Todd, Ann Schumaker, Freddie Todd Jr., Thomas Todd, Carrie Todd, and Matthew Todd (deceased).
