Patsy Ruth (Carter) Garrison, 84, of Osceola, Missouri, passed away on September 10, 2021 surrounded by several members of her loving family.
Patsy was the fourth child born to Norman E. and Iva M. (Tillery) Carter on March 24, 1937.
In 1954, she met Jerold B. Garrison, the love of her life. Patsy and Jerold were married on June 3, 1954. The couple had four girls: Robin Ann, Melody Kay, Susan Alayne and Patrica Lynne.
When her girls were young, Pat volunteered in the school library, lunch room and the local 4-H club. She served as a PTA board member and was a parent volunteer with the Camp Fire Girls & Girl Scouts. She enjoyed writing a paper for both the Osceola Lake View apartments and Truman Towers. Pat attended Osceola High School and for many years, helped organize the class reunion. She loved getting ready for it every year.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Iva; husband, Jerold; eldest daughter, Robin Ann; and her siblings, Virginia Childers, Norman “Boots” Carter, and Leanna Bell. She is survived by a large family that includes her daughters Melody & Glen Joplin, Susan & Geoff Ross and Patty & Jeff Jones. She was known as “Granny” by her grands & greats. She leaves her grands: Amy & Jesse, Ely, Jeffrey & Sarah, Travis, Ginny & Alex, Samantha, Ivy & Michael, Taylor, Patrick; her greats: Christoper, Jordan, Noah, Chase, Emma, Grace, Carter, Robin, Jayden, Cherish, Faith, Vandon, Lexin; as well as her many well-loved nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews and close friends.
