GILLISPIE, STEVEN L.

Steven Lee Gillispie was born July 10, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Lester and Fay (Sweeney) Gillispie. Steve passed away at home on December 14, 2021, at Lake of the Ozarks, MO.

He was saved and baptized at an early age. Steve was a Sergeant during the Vietnam war and was very proud of his time served. He had a love and respect for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and family. Especially squirrel hunting and spending time as a boy at the cabin with family in Osceola, MO. Steve retired from truck driving with Signal Delivery Service in Kansas City, MO.

Steve owned his own auto mechanic shop in Humansville, MO. He also was a fantastic sales associate with Century 21 Peterson, in Bolivar, MO. Steve was a people person and loved by all.

He is survived by his wife Dona of 50 years, their son Troy Gillispie and fiancé Michelle Lewis and Vincent, daughter Amy Bradt and husband Howard Bradt of Humansville, Mo, six grandchildren: Austin, Nickolas, Kelsie, Caitlin, Brooke and Brandi. Five great grandchildren, a brother Harold Gillispie of Kansas City, MO, a sister, Leslie Gillispie of Stoutland, MO, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends!

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Fay Gillispie as well as two sisters Saundra Harris of Kansas City, MO and Joyce Reeves of Kansas City, MO.
