Jamsek, Roger Martin January 23, 1959 - November 10, 2024

Roger was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Roger L. and Lois (Martin) Jamsek, passed away at the young age of 65.

His life held many stories, some can make you cry, some can make you shake your head, and some will make you laugh so hard you fall out of your chair while peeing your pants. He was an outdoorsman. Roger loved to fish and trap but mostly he loved to wake up slowly in the morning drinking his coffee while smoking his cigarette looking out the windows in the family room at the abundant wildlife. In the evenings he switched to ice cold beer while sitting on the deck. It was not unusual to see him listening to classic rock and just enjoying the wildlife. The hummingbirds and the wasps would battle at the feeders and amuse him. But more than these activities Roger loved to spend time with family and friends.

In his later years, you would also find Roger at an auction or see him at 3rd Hand Treasures. His laid-back attitude, sharp wit and constant smile made him a hit with customers. The customers became friends quickly. He will be greatly missed.

Roger was diagnosed with cancer on October 21, 2024. He lost the battle on November 10, 2024.

Roger is proceeded in death by his parents; one brother, Patrick; one brother-in-law Dwight Harvey of whom he considered a second “Dad”.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (of the home); son, Roger (of the home), step daughter, Ruth (Adam) of El Dorado Springs, step daughter, Dorothy (George) of El Dorado Springs, and seven grandchildren; sister, Stella (Dwight) Harvey of Clinton; brother John (Debbie) of Clinton: brother Larry (Kathy) of Calhoun; many nieces and nephews and many friends.

His Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the spring.
