John David Kneller (70) was born on July 1, 1954, to Rokel Dean Kneller and Lois (Homan) Kneller in Kansas City, Kansas. He found eternal peace on March 22, 2025, at KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by his family.John was the youngest of three boys born to Dean and Lois Kneller. He graduated from Washington High School in 1972. John married Susan Barber on April 4, 1982. On August 24, 1985 this union was blessed with a daughter, Jessica Renee. John worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 43 years where he was a train engineer.John is preceded in death by his father (Dean), wife (Susan) and granddaughter (Raelyn).He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Kneller) Eversole and grandson, Camden (7), of Clinton, MO; mother Lois Kneller of Clinton, MO; 2 brothers: Dean Kneller of Osceola, MO and Bill Kneller of Ottawa, KS and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.John was a dreamer and never met a stranger. He was the most kind, and giving person who was always willing to offer a helping hand. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp, fish and hunt and was even given the nickname “Catfish John” because of the large white cats he caught in Truman Lake. He enjoyed traveling to the Coastal areas where he loved spending time at the ocean on the beach or deep-sea fishing. John had a love of all types of music and was always attending concerts. He loved to attend auctions where he would find all sorts of trinkets and antiques.Over the last 5 years, due to health complications, John’s daughter Jessica became his legal guardian and caregiver. He was loved dearly by her. For the last several years he has called Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, MO his home. He touched the lives of many while there.John loved and adored his grandson, Camden, and was loved deeply by his friends and family. His loss will be felt by many.
