Jones, Roy Lee

Roy Lee Jones was born on December 17, 1943 in El Dorado Springs Missouri to Davey and Hattie Jones.

Roy loved being with his family. He found joy in running the wrecker service, and enjoyed wheeling a race car, watching the Jones’ boys dirt track race, singing and dancing to country music.

Roy had an infamous CB handle of “Grease Monkey” that he carried for many years while running the wrecker service and working with local authorities and friends.

Roy had a kind and loving heart and never knew a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Roy spent the last days of his life with his beloved Sherley and Foxy.

Roy was always full of stories of memories of racing, his family, or of his friends and hotrods and he loved to share.

Roy was preceded in death by 2 siblings and his parents, Davey and Hattie Jones
