Jones, Wanda Carol March 11, 1936 - August 29, 2024

Wanda Carol Jones, 88, passed away in her home in Osceola, Missouri, on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Carol was born March 11, 1936, in her Grandparents Manuel home in Osceola, Missouri to Lewis and Wanda (Manuel) Thomas.

Carol had five brothers, Lyle, Larry, Lowell, Leroy and Gary Thomas.

On February 16, 1954, Carol was united in marriage at the Methodist Parsonage in Osceola, Missouri to Ronald Roy Jones. They were blessed with three children: Kelvin Ray, Ronda Kay, and Richard Alan.

Carol grew up in the rural Osceola and Lowry City area and graduated from Lowry City High School in May of 1954. As a young girl, she loved school, helping out around the farmhouse, and caring for her brothers. She met Ronald in the summer of 1953 at the Kansas State Chiropractic College while she was staying with her Aunt in Wichita, Kansas. They were married 8 months later and lived in Fort Knox, Kentucky, where Ronald was stationed in the Army. They also lived in Dodge City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri, before moving to their farm in Osceola in the late 1960s.

Carol enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. She later worked and retired from Schreiber’s in Clinton, Missouri. She loved reading books, cooking, baking, canning, making jams and jellies and homemade bread, sewing, and gardening. She loved her life with Ronald

and their 67 years of marriage. She enjoyed the Christmas holidays and family gatherings. She loved Elvis, homemade ice cream, and a cold Pepsi.

Family was the most important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. As with Ronald, they had an unconditional love for their family.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Wanda Thomas, and three brothers, Lowell Thomas, Larry Thomas, and Lyle Thomas.

Carol is survived by her son, Kelvin Jones and wife Sally; daughter Ronda Seboldt and husband Tim; and son, Richard Jones and wife Kim; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Gary Thomas and Leroy Thomas; many nieces, nephews, and several friends.
