Karen Burns, 64, of Collins, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving
family and friends.
Karen was born on March 9, 1962, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Robert and Maribelle Morris. She
graduated from Osceola High School and went on to dedicate more than 20 years of her career as an
administrator in several local nursing homes, where she was known for her compassion, leadership, and
commitment to caring for others.
Karen found great joy in gardening and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, Reba and Dolly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maribelle Morris, and her sister, Barbara Cline.
Karen is survived by her partner, Johnny Huddleston; her children, Kenny Raymond and wife Kayla,
Telisha Dutcher and husband Josh, and Amber Mahurin and husband Ryan; and her eight grandchildren,
Gavin Dutcher, Kyler Dutcher, Adlee Raymond, Oakley Burns, Gunner Mahurin, Sylas Mahurin, Greysen
Mahurin, and River Mahurin. She is also survived by her siblings, James Morris, Linda Weatherman, and
Beverly Snow, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
She has returned home to the Lord, but her spirit remains a guiding light in our hearts forever.
There will be no funeral service. We invite you to please privately celebrate Karen’s memory in your own
way. I know that she will be with us all in spirit. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult
time.
