Phyllis Irene Manuel daughter of the late Wanita Manuel, and Denzel “Shorty” Manuel, was born August 20, 1947 in Osceola, MO. She attended Dunkin school up until it closed, she then attended Osceola Public School. Phyllis loved talking about her childhood, and life on her dad’s junkyard. She loved reminiscing about all the things she did, from helping her mother, to riding on a boom with her late brother, as well as playing on piles of junk.
Phyllis was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, life partner, and friend. She was loved by so many. Phyllis enjoyed planting flowers, hauling things, and so much more. In her later years of life, she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going to thrift stores, and watching her favorite television shows, which included; Days Of Our Lives, American Idol, America’s Got Talent, Pickers, and Cowboys.
Phyllis suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the young age of 74. She is preceded in death by her mother Wanita Manuel, father Denzel “Shorty” Manuel, brothers Glen Manuel and Ralph Manuel, and sisters Nancy Manuel and Gladys Manuel.
She is survived by her life partner of 50 years, Charles Snethen, her four children; Ronnie Elliott, Ronda Elliott, Bobby Elliott Sr., and Amanda(Sidney) Kingsbury. Seven grandchildren; Michael (April) Elliott, Amber Elliott-Henry, Amy Snethen-Brillhart, Tiffany Elliott, Nathan Elliott, Bobby Elliott Jr., and Raylen Kingsbury. Five great grandchildren; Carter Elliott, Ethan Elliott, Brent Elliott, Rex Elliott, and Liam Callahan. Her siblings; Mildered Summers, Janie Sparks, and Billy Manuel, as well as many other relatives and friends. She will be missed dearly.
