Margaret Thelma Mathis (Sis) was born on February 4th, 1941, at Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO by Lilly and Barnie Mathis. She passed away peacefully at her home in Lowry City, MO, on May 4th, 2024, with her family by her side.
She grew up in the Kansas City area. Sis attended Grandview Elementary School and graduated the 8th grade. Later in life Margaret worked in the woods logging, cut tobacco, cooked for Dempseys Coach Stop, and many other restaurants in Osceola, MO. Aside from work, she raised 7 beautiful children. In 2004, Sis retired from Rival Manufacturing Company in Clinton, MO. After retiring, she enjoyed yard sales, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Lilly and Barnie Mathis, 1st husband Lewis (Jack) Miles, 2nd husband Franklin Call, sisters: Norma Ponder, and Joann Linder, brothers: Kenney and Joey Mitchell, daughter Gina Lea Miles, son Edward Miles, sons-in-law: Johnny Jones, Kevin Keith, and Chris Rodabaugh.
She is survived by her daughters: Shirley Jones and Thelma Keith, sons: Frank (Tracy) Miles, Boyd Miles, and Franklin (Eugene) Call (Tana), grandchildren: Richard Miles, Mathew Miles, Nicole Davis, Regina Pennington, Rachelle Rodabaugh, Holly Miles, Christina Jones, Stephanie Worthington, Johnny Jones Jr., Alexandria Call, Megan Call, and Zoey Call. 18 great-grandchildren, as well as many friends and family members.
