Lora Lee “Sis” Nichols of Lowry City, Missouri, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on October 21, 2025, at the age of 84.
She graduated from Lowry City High School in 1958.
Sis married Jerry Nichols on September 21, 1958, and to this union were born three children; Debra, J.P. and Chad.
She was a stay-at-home mom, and helped with the family Bar-B-Que. She also became a real estate agent at Gover Realty, then later became the owner of the Ox Yoke Bar-B-Que in Lowry City.
Sis was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman and Lena Gibbens; brothers, Jack and Les Gibbens; and her son, Chad Nichols.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Nichols; children, Debra Nichols Briggs, and J.P. Nichols; grandchildren, Sara (Anthony) Gordon, Colt (Jaime) Briggs and Holley Lysinger; great grandchildren, Aleah Asare, Lukas, Kyle Kaidyn and Kolin Gordon, Wyatt, Peyton and Ryder Briggs, Cooper, Colby and Calvin Lysinger; great-great grandchild, Tatym Ruth; and several nieces and nephews.
Sis was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
The family would like to thank nieces Linda and Jackie, for their extra support.
