Randall Raymond Peterie, 73, passed away on January 5, 2022. He was born on August 21, 1948, in Humansville, Missouri, the son of Raymond and Beatrice Peterie.
Randy graduated from Collins High School in 1966. He was an Allstar athlete, playing basketball, baseball and softball. Randy continued to play slow pitch softball well into his 40s.
After high school he worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita Kansas, where he learned to read blueprints. From there, he started working for a home builder. While in Wichita, he played in the Chicago Cubs Farm System (Wichita Aeros) as a catcher.
Randy was a respected and well-known General Superintendent for over 50 years. He worked for Springfield Metal Builders Company (SMBC), he was part owner of Merit Contractors and retired with Nabholz Construction Services.
Randy enjoyed fishing and hunting. Every year he would have the Annual Peterie Fish Fry at the Peterie Farm in Collins, Missouri on the 2nd Saturday of September. He and his buddy Tim Tadlock would fish all year to ensure there was enough fish for all the family and friends of St. Claire County.
We would say grace with gratitude for our Soldiers, Country and our Freedoms. An old-time country band always played in the barn as we ate and visited in fellowship.
Randy was proceeded in death by his mother, father, and his sister Debbie Lynn Bright. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn of 37 years, his brother Kenny and wife Wanda, his son Tim (Jodi) of Corinth, TX, his daughter Tonya Wise (Mike) of Friendswood, TX, stepson Patrick Bishop (Diane) of Blue Springs, MO, three grandsons, Carrigan (Britny), Stuart (Raquel) and Aaron (Courtney), four granddaughters, Austyn (Kodiak), Paetyn, Jessica (Terrod) & Kaylie.
