Phyllis Dean Higgins was born on June 16, 1939, in Clinton, Missouri to Percy and Della
(Morris) Jenkins. She passed away August 16, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri.
Phyllis married Floyd E. Higgins.
She is survived by her husband, 5 daughters: Carla, Melissa, Shirley, Sharlene, and Tonya, 7
granddaughters, 7 grandsons, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins,
and many friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, a brother Gary Jenkins, and husband
Ronald Duncan.
She was saved by her Lord and Savior as a teenage girl and was a member of the Freedom
Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri.
