Tammye Elizabeth (Gainey) Quick was born January 15, 1971, to Shirley Dean in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. She passed away in the home she shared with her husband in Raytown, Missouri on January 23, 2025.
Tammye grew up in Texas before moving to Roscoe, Missouri at age 12 where she continued to attend school. She married Larry Curtis Quick on August 31, 1985, and they raised 5 children together who blessed them with 11 grandchildren. Tammye’s greatest joy was her family, to whom she dedicated her life too.
In addition to spending time with her family, Tammye also enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, and country music. Despite any problems she encountered, Tammye had an unwavering faith in God until he called her home. She will be remembered most for her kind soul, gentle nature, and the love she poured into others.
Tammye was preceded in death by her grandparents Jess and Margaret Dean, father-in-law Larry Quick, brother-in-law and sister Mike and Michelle Welborn.
She is survived by her husband Curtis, her children: Sydney Quick (Christian Lee), Curtis (Rachel) Quick, Kristina Quick, Bradley Quick (Tayler Gardener), Tyler Quick, 11 grandchildren, her mother Shirley Ritchie, two brothers: Robert (Dana) Gainey, Ron Gainey, mother-in-law Mary Ann Quick, brother-in-law Gene (Brenda) Quick, as well as many friends.
Tammye will be greatly missed and loved by many.
