Ronald Fred Dick, 85, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026. He was born on April 3, 1941, in the farming community of Cotton, Missouri, to Fred William Dick and Georgia May Draffen.
Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was his family. He married the love of his life, Juanita Wilson, on August 1, 1968, and together they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years.
Ronald left the farm he grew up on and headed to Kansas City after high school. He dedicated 35 years of his working life to Ford Motor Company, where he eventually retired and was a very proud member of the United Auto Workers (UAW). A few years after joining Ford, he was drafted and proudly served his country in the United States Army before returning to his career. He later partnered with his wife in operating Grandma's Attic Floral and Gifts in Osceola, Missouri, combining his business management with her creativity to create another chapter of their life together.
A man of strong faith, Ronald converted to Catholicism after seeing the profound effect it had on his wife. He carried his values of family, hard work, and service throughout his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and was an accomplished athlete in his younger years, earning the distinction of being an All-State basketball player at Bunceton high school.
Ronald is survived by his brother Russ Moore, children, Gene Gould (Kris), Rhonda Bartalos (Kevin), and Billy Dick (Ashleigh); and his grandchildren, Carissa Berning (Aspen), Casey Gould (Brittany), Mathew Dick, Brittany Martinez (Israel), Kristen Keys, Brandon Dick, Logan Downey, Peyton Dick, Ryan Downey (Parker), Nolan Dick, Miranda Dick, Marissa Jermain (Jordan), Conlan Downey, Lauren Downey, and Sophie Dick. He will also be lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Juanita Dick, daughter, Sherry Gould, and his brothers, Richard Dick and Phillip Moore.
Ronald will be remembered for his love of family, his generous heart, his faith, his work ethic and responsibility, and the countless memories he created with those he loved. To his family, he was not simply a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—he was a steady presence, a source of love and wisdom, and someone whose memory will remain a part of their lives forever.
His family takes comfort in knowing that his life was well lived, his love was deeply shared, and his legacy will continue through the generations who loved him.
May he rest in peace.
