Noel Wayne Scott, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, faithful friend and servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at the age of 87. Noel was born on October 21, 1937 in Brownington, Missouri. His parents later moved to Lowry City, Missouri where he attended elementary school.

As the fifth of seven children, Noel was part of a musically talented family who all loved to sing and play musical instruments. Compassionate and kind, a gifted speaker Noel was world-renowned for his holiness preaching.

Noel met the love of his life Betty Joann Reasoner at a camp meeting in Appleton City, Missouri when they were just teenagers. The couple married in 1957 in Overland Park, Kansas and began their lifelong partnership, where he served as pastor and evangelist in many churches in over 40 countries.  Noel and Betty shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.

A Life Well-Lived–Noel wanted to know everything there was to know about theology and attended Kansas City College and Bible School where he earned two degrees. Later, he attended Missouri State University where he received his Master’s degree and Doctorate degree in Theology.
Noel’s life was defined by faith, family, and a love for music and God’s family.  His daily life revolved around spending time in God’s Word and prayer. His Bible was always open as he studied, memorized scripture, and sought to grow in his walk with the Lord.

As a teacher, mentor, and encourager, Noel motivated others to grow and succeed, always ready with advice. His dedication to mentorship extended to his home where he and Betty counseled many couples and helped countless marriages.

As an integral part of Kansas City College and Bible School, Overland Christian High School and Mt. Zion Bible School, Noel served as Academic Dean and President. Noel treasured his family and its traditions. He poured his love into his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
