Smith, Karen Sue July 9, 1957 - December 11, 2024

Karen Sue Smith was born on July 9, 1957, in El Dorado Springs, MO to Lois Darlene Smith and Robert E. Smith. She passed away peacefully on December 11^th, 2024, in Butler, MO at the age of 68.

Karen grew up and went to school in El Dorado Springs and graduated in 1975. She then went to work at Dunbrook Jacket Factory as a seamstress for many years. She had then married and had two wonderful daughters from the union, Trisha Sue Eaton and Stephanie Ann Silvers.

Karen lived most of her life in El Dorado Springs, MO until she moved to Buffalo, MO for many years where she took care of a farm and shared a home with Richard Taylor. Karen absolutely loved gardening and being out in nature. She especially loved all her farm animals which included dogs, cats, goats, chickens, horses, ducks and a donkey named “Low Jack”. Later in life Karen decided to move to Nevada, MO so that she could be closer to her family and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by Robert E. Smith, Lois Darlene Smith, Trisha Sue Eaton, and Brenda Lynn Smith.

Karen is survived by her daughter Stephanie Ann Silvers, many grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, aunts, uncles and lots of cousins.

She lived a full life filled with joy and laughter and now she gets to go home and be with our Heavenly Father above, pain free. She will be dearly missed.
