Raymond Dean “Ray” Snyder was born November 6, 1937 to Clarence Alden and Nellie “Marguerite” Warren Snyder in Kansas City, KS. He passed away at St Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO. July 3, 2018.
In 1945, at the age of 8, Ray moved to Iconium, MO where he grew up and attended Osceola High School. After graduating from high school in 1955, Ray served in the United States Navy in the hospital corps from 1956 until 1960. After his time in the Navy Ray embarked on a successful career as a pharmaceutical sales manager, a career that spanned over 40 years. While serving in the Navy he married Janalee Harper of Osceola, MO on December 17, 1958. From this union 3 children were born, Sandy R Snyder, Craig A Snyder, and Valerie A Snyder-Holman.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Marguerite, two brothers, Robert and Richard Snyder, sister-in-law Alice Snyder, his fiancé Jeanne Biesner , and son-in-law Jeff Holman.
He is survived by his children, Sandy, Craig, and Valerie, 1 granddaughter Aubrey
Snyder, sister-in-law Nina Snyder and her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren, his former wives Janalee Pacheco and Betty Snyder along with many other beloved family members and friends.
