Stratton, Hilary Graham, Nick Stratton, Zack Stratton, Cael Stratton, Noah Stratton, 30 great-grandchildren as well as one brother Robert Easter.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Edith Easter and LeRoy Easter, her brothers Roy (Pole) Easter and Lawrence (Butch) Easter, as well as a great-granddaughter Madison, and sister-in-law Janie Coen.

Joyce Easter and Willis Stratton were united in marriage on May 17, 1980. Though she enjoyed bossing him around, Willie was the love of her life. His love for her was unfailing, for he did anything she asked and gave her everything she ever wanted. Throughout her life she held various jobs. Joyce worked at Ford Motor Company & Rival Manufacturing. She was also a hairdresser, personal assistant, housewife, and managed her husband’s welding business. If you knew Joyce in her younger years you may have seen her around town in her yellow Cadillac, talking on her bag phone, no doubt looking for a garage sale. If shopping were an Olympic sport, Joyce would have been on team USA. Her philosophy was “if one is good, fifty are better.”

Joyce had many hobbies. She was creative and always had a project in the works. Her garage floor has the spray paint marks to prove it. One of her ongoing projects was embroidery. Joyce acquired her mother’s love of sewing and created many needlepoints over years. You could always find an embroidery hoop on the table next to her chair, containing her latest piece. Her plan was to make one for each grandchild. Joyce also enjoyed working in her flower gardens, antique shopping, collecting Depression glass, and spoiling her grandkids. She always had a clean house and a full kitchen, where she loved having her family over for dinner and watching her great-grandchildren play together. At these gatherings she often had words of advice for anyone who would listen, solicited or not. You never had to wonder what she was thinking! Joyce had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She loved hard and always put others before herself.

More than even her family, Joyce loved the Lord. She adorned many of her walls with scripture and artwork that depicted scenes from the Bible. She knew Jesus and His promise to bring her through anything she might face. Though her health faded over the years, she still seemed to be at Peace. Joyce is now Home with her Heavenly Father. She is no longer in pain & can finally work in her flowers again. What a garden that must be…
