Tammy Lynn Appleton was born on December 14, 1965, to James and Wanda Bryant in Kansas City, Missouri.
She passed away on the 6th of May 2026 at the young age of 60. In life and in everything she did, she worked harder than anyone and was working right up until her last day.
Her loss is hard and unexpected by the family. Although it was unexpected and hard for the family, it is gain for her Spiritually. She trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior years ago and one of her proudest moments was displaying that faith in a public display of faith when she followed the Lord’s example in believer’s baptism. Her faith in Jesus Christ means that she’ll be seated in heaven waiting for her friends and family that trusts in Jesus too.
Tammy was the definition of hard working but even more so she loved hard too. She was a woman that put her all into every job she ever had. More importantly, she put all her love into everyone she ever loved. She loved her family and did everything in her power to let everyone know it. No matter what time of day or night, she would take the time to do anything or go anywhere just to give a friend or family member one of her famously large hugs and kisses. Those that benefitted the most from this love were her late Husband Cameron, her children, and grandchildren. She always pushed to make sure that everyone knew what she believed and knew how she felt about you.
She lived her short life to the fullest. Her life provided her many things to be proud of. Starting with her relationship with Olen “Cameron” Appleton, she built a life with him that produced children and grandchildren that were her world. Tammy and Cameron met in Inner-City Kansas City in 1982 and from there married in 1984. She had so much pride, joy, and love in her life from the lives that came from their marriage. She had three kids; April, Olen III, and Megan that she always loved harder and stronger than herself. Those three children provided her precious grandchildren that she could not get enough of. Those grandchildren in order were Sierra, Emaleigh, Gary, Olen, Hunter, Glen, Kyree, Mecyah, Logan, Lily, Elijah, Everett, and most recently she was so proud to announce that she was going to be the great grandma with Sierra expecting a baby soon. There was never a time in her life when she put herself before her husband, her children and grandchildren.
The things in life that made Tammy who she was had to be related to her or part of her favorite collections. Her favorite collections were a hobby she has a passion in. She had a great passion for collecting decorative metal works and yard decorations. Her and her late husband had a combined passion and hobby to make sure they had the best yard in town. There’s no doubt that their mansions in Heaven will have the finest decorations around town for their house and yard, knowing Tammy. She always wanted those she could love to be the best and know she wanted the best for them. She put everything into all she put her hands on.
Tammy Appleton is preceded in death by her husband Cameron, her Mom Wanda, Dad James and oldest brother Bob.
