Hazel June (Plank) Thomas was born on June 22, 1937, to parents Ralph and Clora Plank in Christian County. She died on October 17, 2023.
She married William E. (Bill) Thomas on November 22, 1956.
They loved every child God placed in their lives. Each child, grandchild, and great grandchildren even friends were treasured by them for they valued people over things.
June taught school from 1956-1960, after a break to raise her kids, she became a gifted special education teacher with certifications in testing. She finished her career at Nevada Habilitation Center until retirement at age 63.
June held many positions within her church over the years. She enjoyed reading her Bible and gospel music. She strove to serve God wherever needed in whatever way God needed.
June was preceded in death by her husband (Bill), 2 children (Pam and Alonzo), 1 grandson (Baby Roby), 2 great grandsons (Gideon and Bryar).
She is survived by her remaining children, grandkids, great grandkids, and a whole host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
