Georgia was born Georgia Fay Delaney October 13, 1929 in Plattsburg, Missouri. She was 1 of 4 children born to Raymond and Ora Delaney. Georgia passed away March 8, 2018 in Clinton, Missouri.
She graduated from Plattsburg High School with the class of 1943. On July 25th, 1954 she joined John R. (Bud) Vaughn in marriage, gaining two sons. They were married in South Dakota. After spending time in California they made their way to Osceola, Missouri where they resided until after Johns passing in 1998. At that time Georgia moved to Clinton, Missouri where she lived the remainder of her life. Georgia was full of life and enjoyed people, traveling, ball games and her family. She loved going to the boats to eat crab at the buffet and play bingo. Her friends, too numerous to mention, made her life full and enjoyable. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family alike.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Vaughn; son, Richard Vaughn; parents, Raymond and Ora Delaney and a brother James Delaney.
Georgia is survived by a son, Phillip K. Vaughn; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Juanita Harlow and Rosemary Bednke.
