Clayton Edward Zachary
On a cool crisp night December 4, 1990 in the foothills of the superstition mountains in a city called Chandler Arizona there was a baby boy born. He would be named Clayton Edward Zachary. He would call Paula Elaine (Rains) Wyers mother and Edward Allen Zachary Dad. Clayton would be baby brother to Jeremy Nathan Brockett and Dusty Allen Zachary Sr. He had a big sister Haylie Anne (Brockett) Seaton at home patiently waiting to meet her baby brother. He would later become big brother to Creedance Chal Zachary and Chance Miles Zachary. Paul Wyers was step dad along with a step sister Ava Codie and step brother Gaylen Paul. Growing up as a child Clayton had the opportunity to travel from state with an adventure around every corner. Ask his Aunt Pamela Elizabeth Duncan about the salt river. There was always excitement in the air when a weekend to see Aunt Patricia Ellen Chaney had been planned. Clayton thought the world of his Uncle David Duncan and always have a hug for his Uncle Bill Flogler. Jeffrey Seaton, Wayne Logan and Michael Logan were brother in laws he loved hanging out with. Clayton graduated from Van Buren High School in Van Buren, Arkansas. After graduating high school he would join the United States Marine corps. He would come home to marry his high school sweetheart Courtney Smallwood. To this union there was born Madison Mechelle Zachary, Caleb Isaac Edward Zachary and Keegan Anthony Hobbs who called him Dad. Clayton would become Uncle at the drop of a hat to ten nieces and nephews. He was blessed with a handful of cousins and a bountiful amount of friends. Clayton never met a stranger in his life nor someone that he would not give his last anything too. You for sure would not leave without being fed. He always thought he was a big deal. If needed to be found in a room just look for the loudest one in the room telling some kind of story about something. On May 15, 2025 the horn blew and Clayton’s number was up. His heart had failed him and no longer would beat. Brother Nathan, his Dad, Papa Paul Edward Rains and Nanny Geraldine Marie Rains would be waiting for his arrival. No more battles, no more pain. His chains had been broken.
