Elmer Lloyd Gustave Becker, Jr. was born November 11, 1937 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Elmer and Ida Becker.  He passed away at his home in Mayview, Missouri October 30, 2019.

He grew up on a farm in Plainview, Nebraska and later moved to Lynch, Nebraska. Elmer was united in marriage to Charlotte Hadsall January 5, 1960.  This union was blessed with 5 children.

Elmer proudly served his country in the United States Army  from 1955 to 1963 as a military policeman where he earned the US Distinguished Pistol Marksmanship Medal.  He also served in the National Guard.  He was a member of the Lowry City and Osceola Masonic Lodges, the Scottish Rite and Shriners.  Elmer was also a lifetime NRA member.

He retired from Armco Steel and GST.  He supported his family in their educational endeavors and their high school athletics.  Elmer was able to send 3 children to college and coach 2 sons in race walking.  He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and enjoyed woodworking.  He also trained thoroughbred race horses.

Elmer is preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd and Oma Evans; step-fathers, Roland Boschuldt and Edwin Flesner; 1 child in infancy along with 9 brothers and sister, aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Becker, of the home; children, Karen Anthon of Odessa, Missouri, Linda Kahle of Armstrong, Missouri, Dean Glen of Odessa, Missouri, Elmer Lloyd Gustave of Independence, Missouri and Leonard Leroy Becker; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
