Bryant, Mildred E April 19, 1930 - March 6, 2015

Mildred Ella Bryant, age 84, of Lowry City, MO daughter of Orville W. Rector and Magnolia Mae Underwood was born April 19, 1930 in Winnebago, Nebraska and departed this life at Ellett Memorial Hospital on March 6, 2015. She moved to Missouri with her parents when she was six months old to the Roscoe area in early 1938 where she attended grade school at the old Jackson School and Collins High School. On October 27, 1946 she was united in marriage to David C. Bryant, Jr. at the home of the late Rev. Clarence J. Bybee in Collins, Missouri.

To this union four children were born. They made their home in Collins until 1960 when they purchased a home in Osceola, Missouri and lived there until 1966, then they made their home in Independence, Missouri until David retired from Vendo Co. after 21 years. They bought their present home in 1974 in Lowry City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents, two brothers in infancy, Raymond and William, one brother James and one sister Betty June.

She is survived by her four children, Genevieve Nelson, Lester Bryant, Barbara Treat and Jerry Bryant, nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, five brothers, Orville, Keith, Francis, Lee, Rolly, one sister, Orvilla Wade as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel in Osceola, Missouri on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM with burial in the Freeman-Holsapple Cemetery of Collins, Missouri. Casket Bearers were Wayne Higgins, Terry Cook, Eddie Hiser, Dwight Ende, Fred Bunch, Randy Wright, Tom Payne and Vaughn Schmidt.

Donations may be made to the St. Clair County Health Department.
