Eula was a housewife, mother, and partner to her husband during trials and tribulations of their years raising three boys in the 50’s and 60’s.
Lyle passed away in March 1967 and Eula was on her own again. Life was busy during this time but lonely. Something was missing.
Enter Wm Noble Carter. An acquaintance who on August 5, 1969 became her husband. During their marriage they traveled, played cards, worked and together enjoyed life with their family and friends. Eula made a superb choice and spent the next thirty years with her second great husband, a great dad and friend to her sons and a great grandfather to her grandchildren. Noble passed away in 1999.
A tough but loving individual, Eula spent her last years being there for her family. She lost her son, Carl, on December 7, 2002.
Eula is survived by both sisters, Bonnie Murphy of Montrose, Co and Elinor Foote of Granbury, TX; sons, Charley Conway (Donna) of El Dorado Springs, MO, and Curtis Conway (Mary Jo) of Portland, OR; six grandchildren, Christina (Ralph) Nelson, Craig (Shelly) Conway, Carrie (Jamie) Garver, Corey (Ashley) Conway, Jeff (Leah) Conway, and Riley Conway; fourteen great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eula loved her family and we will remember the family gatherings. Her great cooking and baking skills, Saturday hamburgers, and Eula being a wonderful mom, grandmother, and great grandmother without reservation.
