Collins, Paul “Tony” Anthony October 8, 1967 - May 22, 2018

Paul “Tony” Anthony Collins was born October 8, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the youngest child of Claud and Sharon (Swanson) Collins. Tony passed away at his home in Grain Valley, Missouri May 22, 2018.

Tony graduated with the class of 1986 at Osceola High School and upon graduation went on to State Fair Community College where he played baseball for the Road Runners and earned his associates degree. After college he was employed with Allied Security as a field supervisor in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1996 Tony moved to Jacksonville, Florida and took employment for a regional vending company as an east coast regional sales representative. Tony loved Florida, the sun, beach and beautiful weather, but always called Missouri his home, returning to Missouri in 2000. He continued to work for various vending companies in Kansas City, Missouri in sales and was employed with Protect Plus Air LLC as a route sales representative at the time of his death.

He was a warm, caring person with a “dry” sense of humor. All that knew his passion for sports and politics could converse with him on any subject with a degree of knowledge. “Tony”, as his friends and family knew him was very enthusiastic about his sporting events, especially the Kansas City Royals. He was even willing to miss nap time for a Royals game.

Although Tony had no children of his own, you wouldn’t know it. He had many nieces and nephews that he treated as his own being a mentor and friend as well. Tony was unique in every way, loving politics, sports and appreciating a nice sports car. He took great pride in his family and friends and more than likely never met a stranger.

Tony was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Collins.

He is survived by his father, Claud Collins of Osceola, Missouri; mother, Sharon Brunson of Blairstown, Missouri; 2 sister, Patricia Brownlee of Osceola, Missouri and Norma Mansell of El Dorado Springs, Missouri along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many, many friends.
