Claude Chester Crowl of Quincy, Missouri was born March 10, 1931 in Independence, Missouri to Theodore Crowl and Myrtle (Sponaugle) Crowl. He passed away August 1, 2019 peacefully at his home.
He spent most of his childhood in Rich Hill, Missouri. Claude was united in marriage to Opal Harper July 16, 1954 in Butler, Missouri. This union was blessed with two sons, Doug and Randy. They resided in Independence, Missouri where Claude worked for Armco Steel Company for 30 years. He retired from Armco in 1983. After retiring, Claude and Opal began farming in Quincy, Missouri
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Myrtle Crowl; his brother, Gene Crowl and his sister Diane Wagle.
He is survived by his wife, Opal, of the home; sons, Doug and wife Judy of Quincy, Missouri and Randy and wife Karen of Kansas City, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Brian, Ronald, Robert, Jamie and Ashley; 6 great grandchildren, Robert, Sierra, Tyler, Dakota, Saylor and Addison; 2 sisters, Joan Quinton and Frankie Woods; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
