Eaves, Jack A. February 22, 1932 - March 27, 2012

Jack Eaves was born February 22, 1932 four miles northeast of Filly, the second of four sons, to Olin and Josephine Eaves. He passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Springfield, MO surrounded by family and friends.

Jack graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1950 and moved on to work as a surveyor for the Bureau of Land Management in the Rocky Mt. area. During this time he met his wife of 52 years. They were blessed with two children, Robyn and Tracy.

After 40 years of service with the BLM Cadastral Survey organization he retired as the Chief Land Surveyor for Colorado and moved back to El Dorado Springs where he and his wife have resided for 17 years, enjoying the hometown of his youth. He served his community with passion as a commissioner on the El Dorado Special Road District for approximately 15 years.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and his son Tracy. He is survived by his wife, D’Ette; daughter, Robyn of New Market, England; two granddaughters, Abigail and Chloe; two brothers, Sam and his wife, Nancy; Bob and his wife Sandi; two nieces, Jeannie and Megan; and one nephew, Olin.

Jack’s deep faith, his church family, friends and his love for his wife and children sustained him through a long period of illness. His smile and sense of humor will be dearly missed by those who surrounded him. The memories created in his company will be remembered with great joy.
