Travis James Evans was born January 16, 1950 to Loyd Evans and Dena(Johnson) Evans in Humansville, Missouri. He passed away at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas July 23,2018.
In 1951 the family moved to Osceola, Missouri where Travis graduated from Osceola High School and thereafter moved to Kansas City to find work. He was staying with his sister Christyine while on his job search.
He met his wife Glenda in July of 1968 and was married 4 months later on November 14, 1968 just before joining the Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1971 he worked for the Kansas City Southern Railroad until his retirement 39 years later.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Dena Evans; 5 sisters Vera Greathouse, Sharon Smith, Janice Summers, Phyllis Cutler and Sylvia Greathouse; 3 brothers, Larry, Jerry Wayne and Gary Lee Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Evans; daughters, Christina L. Evans and Paula K. Travis and her husband Timothy; 5 grandchildren, Jordan Gagnebin and husband Devin, Joseph Arreola and his fiancé Casey Green, Dylan Travis, Travis Hirt and Kristin Travis; 2 great grandchildren, Charlie Marie Arreola and James Owen Manuel Arreola; sisters, Christine Greathouse, Pamela Dutcher and her husband Harold and Sandy Bayless; 1 brother, Terry Lloyd Evans along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
