Fast, Janice January 8, 1936 - October 14, 2012

Janice Fast was born January 8, 1936 near Downing, Missouri to Irvin and Nellie (Garrett) Lasley. She passed away October 14, 2012 at her home just south of Olympia. She grew up in the Montevallo area and attended school there. On July 12, 1952, Janice was united in marriage to Preston Fast. To this union, one son, Dennis Leroy was born. Janice spent her entire married life as a homemaker and mother. Her family was everything to her. In later years, as her health permitted, she attended the United Methodist Church in El Dorado Springs. She also enjoyed going to the TOPS meetings and the Red Hat Ladies get-togethers. Lunch at the Senior Center was always a fun time for her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Fast, parents, Irvin and Nellie Lasley, brother, Nelson Lasley, sister, Minnie Foreman, and two granddaughters, Darcy Jo Fast and Emily Anne Fast. Janice is survived by her son, Dennis Fast and wife, Terri Jo, granddaughter, Denise Fast all of rural El Dorado Springs, Missouri; brother, Roy Lasley and his wife Velva, El Dorado Springs, Missouri, sister, Nina Harris and husband, John, Sedalia, Missouri, sister in-law, Judy Lasley, Girard, Kansas, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and neighbors.
