RA Flowers, Jr. was born the son of Ralph Atlas and Myrtle Flowers in Ochiltree County, Texas. He attended school in Perryton, Texas followed by college at West Texas State University and North Texas State University. After attending college RA served in the army fulfilling his duty in Germany post World War II. RA embarked on his lifelong career of ranching and raising Registered Hereford Cattle. He then expanded his cattle operations from the Texas Panhandle to the Southern Missouri area. RA had a generous spirit and servant heart holding numerous positions of leadership including the first Baptist Church, Miami, Texas, First Baptist Church, Osceola, Baptist Ridge Camp and Gideons. RA was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers William and Vernon, a sister Lois and grandsons William and Lawson. RA is survived by his wife Alice, daughters Shannan Ott (Dave), Janet Rees (Don), Dee Ann Nelson (Jim), Donna Carney (Matt), Leslyn Cary, and Bobbie Sue Flowers-Kuhse (Lee). He was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
