Norman Lee Gant was born June 14, 1934 in Enid, Oklahoma to Cleo and Edna (Jones) Gant. He passed away April 30, 2012 at his home. Norman proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from January 25, 1955 to January 24, 1958.
At the age of ten, Norman was baptized at a First Baptist Church in Oklahoma. He attended the First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs and was a team member for worship services at the nursing home on Sunday mornings. He found great comfort knowing where he was going when he passed away.
Norman raised five children while living in Oklahoma and Colorado but found his true hometown in El Dorado Springs, Missouri, where he never met a stranger. He started his plumbing business there and made countless friends over the years. He loved living on the farm and sitting on his deck overlooking his pond.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Edna Gant, brothers, Gene and Wayne Allen Gant and first wife of 52 years, Sandra Gant.
He is survived by his wife, Annie of the home, his children, Dennis Gant, wife Dee and four daughters, Darrell Gant, two sons and daughter in-law Katy, Debi Smith, husband Bob and three daughters, Dale Gant, wife Susan; Sheila Reiken , husband Larry and two sons and two daughters, Chele Walker, husband, Dustin and five daughters and one son, stepson, Travis Dickinson and daughter; one great grandson, one great granddaughter, one step great granddaughter, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many friends.
