Robert Lee Garver II (Bobby) was born on September 7th, 1963 in Osceola to Robert and Jackie Garver. He passed away on September 9th, 2020.

He graduated from Osceola High School in 1981. Upon graduation he followed his father into the trade of carpentry, where he spent several years perfecting his skills. Following that, he began working for St. Clair County Road and Bridge where he spent 30 years. Bobby was also always dedicated to the mowing and upkeep of the Roscoe Cemetery.

Bobby was a friend to all who knew him. He was soft spoken, but when he had something to say, his quick wit showed through. He was always quick to put others’ needs before his own and was always quick to help those who needed it. Bobby was loved by the community, and anyone who knew him considered him a very kind man.

He enjoyed spending his time outdoors; hunting, fishing, and gardening. He always had a new project he was working on. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Bobby is preceded in death by his dad Bob, mom Jackie, nephew Tim, niece Alyson, and brother-in-law Buddy.

He is survived by his son Rob and wife Alyssa Garver, daughter Emily Garver and fiancé Nick Lopez; three granddaughters Emma, Della, and Adalie, and two grandsons Kason and Malachi; four sisters Debbie Peden, Sharon and husband Brian Hoots, Sandy and husband Chuck Saunders, Lori and husband Myron Bumsted; two brothers Terry and wife Cindy Quaintance, Larry and wife Jean Quaintance; stepmother Kathie Garver; as well as nieces and many friends.

I am still in a state of shock about losing Bobbie.. I don’t think I can come to his service as I am not much count but I will think of him and you girls. You have lost a part of your family that was special and he was too. It makes me very sad. I hope you will forgive me for not telling him what a nice guy he was and I will miss him. Hang in there!
