Robert Earl Garver was born on July 21, 1931 to Clarence and Janie (Devenney) Garver at Roscoe, MO. He passed away on July 19, 2020 at his home in Humansville, MO.
Earl joined the United States Air Force in 1951. He was stationed in Salina, Kansas where he met his wife of 66 years, Elnora Maier Garver. Earl and Nora were united in marriage on October 3, 1953. This union was blessed with five wonderful sons: Tommy, David, Ronnie, Bob and Dennis.
Earl spent his life on the family farm, where he raised pigs and cattle. Earl and his partners, Raymond Hensley and Dave Freeman, started the 4-County Feeder Pig Auction at the Humansville Sale Barn and operated the business for 14 years. Earl served as Presiding Commissioner from 1991-1995. He was an avid outdoorsman, coon hunter, turkey hunter and had hunting dogs all of his life.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen and sister Clara Belle Oberly.
He is survived by his wife Nora, sons Tommy and wife Wanda, David and wife Teresa, Ronnie and wife Julie, Billy Bob and wife Wendy, and Dennis and wife Myra; 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
