Evelyn Faye Gover, 88, of Independence, MO, passed away January 22, 2017 at Wilshire of Lakewood. She was born December 14, 1928 at the family farm near Iconium, MO, to Benjamin and Emma Scott Gover who preceded her in death.
Evelyn graduated from Osceola High School in 1948 and spent her career working as a bookkeeper for Glasco Electric in Kansas City, MO. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Iconium, MO but most recently attended Rockwood Baptist Church in Independence, MO. Evelyn was a wonderful, loving woman and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Kahle and Leona Winter; two brothers, Everett Gover and David (Jack) Gover; two nieces, Karen Winter and Carolyn Gover Steele.
She is survived by nieces, Joann Kahle Brooks, Independence, MO; Dorothy Gover Howerton and husband Terry, Prairie Grove, AR; Paula Winter Allen and husband Bob, Green Valley, AZ; Carol Winter Lynn, Osceola, MO; and nephew, Ben Gover and wife Mary Jo, West Fork, AR. She is also survived by four great nieces; three great nephew and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
