Paula I. Gray was born to Pete and Jeannie (Miller) Wareham on July 3, 1959, in Clinton, Missouri. She passed away February 12, 2023.

She attended first grade at Hudson, then moved to Appleton City where she graduated in 1977.

Paula met the love of her life Mark in 1974 and united in marriage on October of 1977, in Ladoux, Missouri. To this marriage two daughters were born: Laura Jean Gray on September 2, 1979 and Sarah Joyce Gray on February 23, 1982.

Paula worked at Dunbrooke Sewing for many years, then decided to run the Chuckwagon Café in Taberville with her mother-in-law Jo. She went back to work for Dunbrookes until they shut down the plant and she started working at Dari Concepts until she medically retired in 2017.

Paula lived for her husband and two girls, until it became all about her grandkids! She was the hardest working woman you ever met. Always had a job and sometimes two!

She had a passion for sewing and made the most beautiful quilts. She loved cooking and making everyone’s favorite treats when they came to visit. She was the best mom, Nana, grandma, sister, and wife. She loved everyone and tried to help whenever she could.

Paula was preceded in death by her daughter Laura, nephew Adam, sisters: Liz and Bonnie, parents: Pete and Jeannie, brother David, and father-in-law Blane Gray.

She is survived by husband Mark, daughter Sarah Gray Alex Hopkins of Deepwater, grandkids: Gabby Gray (Tennessee) Blane and Dalton Shonfelt (Eldorado), Arrow Gray-Hopkins (Deepwater), Cole Johnson (Appleton City), mother-in-law Jo Gray (Taberville), brother Donnie Wareham (Appleton City), Jack and Karen Wareham (Springfield), numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
