Zane Gray was born July 28, 1928 in Chalk Level, Missouri to Claude and Dolly (Mullins) Gray. He passed away at the Kansas City Veterans Hospital on April 2, 2015. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Zane was married to Lucille Sandridge and to this union 4 children were born, Lloyd, Lowell, Wayne and Brenda, all surviving Zane. Zane was a painter during his time in the service and a mechanic for the Peabody Coal Company. He enjoyed boat races, hunting and all types of outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; 1 brother, Joe Ed Gray and 2 sisters, Hilda Talamonte and Ila Dean Luther. Zane is survived by 3 sons, Lloyd, Lowell and Wayne Gray; 1 daughter, Brenda Kilpatrick; 3 sisters, Lona Jean Grogan, Mary Suiter and Nelda Wood; 2 brothers, Blaine Gray and Bob Gray along with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
